Backstory:
Half-American through his father's side, Tsubasa grew up more or less bouncing from country to country, until finally settling down in Kanagawa, the town around which the Sendo Economic City would be built. As such, Tsubasa had never quite felt at home anywhere. His father died years ago, and his mother eventually followed suit, leaving Tsubasa with no relatives and to fend for himself. For the duration of the last 5 years, Tsubasa has bounced around from job to job, not quite finding something he liked - with the exception of the two years he spent with the dance troupe Baron, a well-liked street act in Sendo. This earned him no short amount of admirers, male and female, some of whom he'd dated uneventfully. Eventually, Baron eventually broke apart due to arguments between the leaders, much to his disappointment.

Ultimately, he would end up working as a personal assistant to Azusa Kumon, an up-and-coming idol for the Chili Peppers. His lackasdaisical personality resonated with the former delinquent Azusa, and the two struck up a fast friendship, with Azusa teaching Tsubasa the ropes of the entertainment industry and Tsubasa training Azusa how to dance, something she found difficult.

When Azusa was let go by the Chili Peppers management, Tsubasa followed her and was recruited by the famed singer Javier Luna, who was looking at the time to start his own entertainment agency. While Azusa was quickly found to be a perfect match, matching with Aymr, Tsubasa, while resonating with the Mirage Fragarach, was not determined to be a suitable fit to be a Mirager. Still, Javier kept him on as a production assistant; he assisted with deliveries and music production on the civilian side of Fire Soul, and was mission control for the Mirager side of Fire Soul, also helping to maintain Mirages.

As such, he sat in on the auditions a few months prior, where one individual - one he later figured out was a young woman by the name of Hikari Minase - caught his eye. She was a great singer, in his eyes, but the auditions were intended in secret to recruit more Miragers, given Javier - himself a Mirager - was getting on in years and it was beginning to become more difficult for only Azusa to fight Amanojaku. Hikari, at the time, was deemed to have such a low Biorhythm level as to be a poor Mirager candidate. 

Still, she stuck in Tsubasa's head - it was her voice, something about her voice - and so he hoped he'd run into her again....
